The Little SWC stays together, mostly

Good news came for the Little SWC with the new Texas High School sports alignments. All but Abilene Cooper moved up to 6A, and the Little SWC will be part of District 3-6A. Yes, San Angelo Central is back in with the Little SWC schools. Lubbock Coronado and Amarillo Tascosa are gone to District 2-6A, where they will be joined by fellow city schools Amarillo, Lubbock Monterey, and Wolfforth Frenship. The new boundaries go into effect this August. For more information, check your favorite papers sports section tomorrow, visit the UIL's Twitter page (https://twitter.com/uiltexas), or feel free to visit this article from CBS7 (http://www.cbs7.com/news/details.asp?ID=54216). With the knowledge that the Little SWC is staying together, you can expect the schedules of 3-6A to be posted here when they are released. Radio links for the games will also be posted here this next season, as will the final scores each week. Oh, and one more decision came down. There is no more 0 week. What was previously 0 week will now be week 1. Enjoy.
